THE “DATA CONTROLLER”

Innova Camera, a Special Undertaking under the Rome Chamber of Commerce for Innovation (under the ‘Asset Chambers’ until 30 June 2016) with head office at Via de’ Burrò n. 147 – 00186 Rome, is the data “controller”.

DATA PROCESSOR

Innova Camera may appoint certain external persons in charge of the maintenance and updating of the Site and, more generally, activities which help to implement the “The Big Hack” project as “External Data Processors”. The Data Controller can provide the list of Data Processors.

PLACE OF DATA PROCESSING

Processing associated with this website’s web service takes place at the office of Innova Camera and/or at the offices of the persons appointed as External Data Processors.

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

Navigation data

During their normal operation, the computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire some personal data which is transmitted when using Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature could, as a result of processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or the domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computing environment. This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on how the site is used and to check it is working properly. It is deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to determine liability in the event of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the site: except for this possibility, at present the data on web contacts is not stored for more than seven days.

Data voluntarily provided by users

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic post and other data to the addresses indicated on this site leads to the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, which is necessary to reply to service and/or information requests, in addition to any other personal data inserted by the sender. Specific summary information is provided or displayed on the pages of the site set up for particular services on request. Personal data provided by users will be communicated to third parties if the communication is necessary for the purposes for which it is provided (e.g. participation in the Event). The data will be processed using analogue, computing and remote tools. Within the scope of the aforementioned purposes, Innova Camera may forward the personal data it holds to employees and third parties whose services are used for the above purposes. Data collected for registration may be used in future by the Data Controller to inform data subjects regarding similar initiatives that fall within the scope of the institutional purposes of Innova Camera.

Cookies

No use is made of cookies when browsing the site to send information of a personal nature, nor are persistent cookies of any kind used, i.e. systems for tracking user behaviour. The site uses technical (navigation and session) cookies and includes some services provided by third parties that generate cookies stored on the user’s computer.
The use of session cookies is strictly limited to the sending of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the site. The session cookies used in this site avoid the use of other computing techniques that may be prejudicial to the confidentiality of the user’s navigation and do not allow the user’s personal identification data to be acquired. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING AND LEGAL BASIS

Processing activities are carried out in order to reply to communications and questions sent by users. The processing used for this purpose is carried out with the consent of the data subject.
To ensure the web pages and their content works properly. In this case, data processing is based on the legitimate interest of the Data Controller.

OPTIONAL PROVISION OF DATA

Apart from what has already been specified for navigation data, entering data through the forms on the Site to request specific services (such as requests for information) is always optional; however, if data is not provided, it may be impossible for the user to obtain answers to their requests. PROCESSING METHODS

The data will be processed in accordance with the necessary security and confidentiality as follows: collection of data from the data subject, collected and recorded for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes and used in further processing operations in terms compatible with these purposes, processing carried out with the help of electronic and automated tools (remote data collection directly from the data subject). Specific security measures have been taken to prevent data loss, unlawful or incorrect use of data and unauthorised access.

DATA STORAGE

The personal data sent by filling out the application form is stored for five years following the end of the event. Data published on the site to promote the event in addition to photographs and audio-video registrations shall be stored for an unlimited period of time. Email addresses entered on the application form shall only be stored and used to send institutional communications by Innova Camera until the data subjects request they be deleted.

RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS

Data subjects are entitled to ask the data controller for access to their personal data or ask that it be corrected or deleted. They are also entitled to request that its processing be restricted or object to its processing (articles 15 et seq. of Regulation (EU) 2016/679). Requests may be sent to privacy@innovacamera.it. Innova Camera appointed a Data Processor to protect the data who can be contacted at the following address: rpd@innovacamera.it. Data subjects are also entitled, if requirements are met, to lodge a complaint with the DPA for the protection of personal data as the supervisory authority in accordance with the procedures set out.

POLICY AMENDMENTS

This policy is valid from 16 March 2021 onward and will be updated; Users are therefore invited to periodically verify its content.
